Analytical research platform

The Department of Health Care Policy provides SAS licenses to HMS and HSDM Quad-based researchers with an eligible email address. HMS IT and HSDM IT provide installation support. Self-install options are unavailable.

To request installation, contact the HMS IT Service Desk. The IT Service Desk will create a ticket to track the request and assign it to a local HMS IT support representative.

Eligibility
Eligibility depends on location and purchase source.

Your computer must be located in an HMS on-quad building, and SAS can be installed only on computers bought using Harvard University funds. Computers purchased with personal funds or by hospital affiliates are not eligible. More details can be obtained through the local IT Office or SAS University for a free license.

Windows 10 Unix

SAS can be installed on Windows 10 and Unix-based operating systems. Specific security details depend on the suite of SAS applications installed, and additional information can be provided by the local HMS IT support representative before installation.
