Canvas

Canvas is available to all faculty, instructors, teaching support staff, and students at Harvard Medical School who are in a degree or certificate program.

After graduation, limited Canvas access will continue through HarvardKey, but graduates will only be able to view courses they were enrolled in as a student. Ensure you have the materials you need from Canvas or my.harvard in advance of graduating. See HUIT's guide on preparing to leave Harvard for more details.

Canvas ensures the security of user information by using authentication protocols and encryption methods. Users are encouraged to follow best practices in maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

Canvas offers 24/7 support to users on all Harvard Canvas instances via the Help menu within Canvas.

Cidi Labs DesignPLUS

DesignPLUS is a set of visual design and content tools that integrates with Canvas.

DesignPLUS is available for all HMS courses on the following Canvas instances:

• Harvard University residential (canvas.harvard.edu) - all sub-accounts
• ExEd (exed.canvas.harvard.edu) Canvas instances - all sub-accounts
• HMS (canvas.hms.harvard.edu) - PME sub-account

Perusall

Perusall is a social learning and annotation tool that integrates with Canvas Assignments.

Perusall is available for courses in the following Master's degree programs on Harvard University residential Canvas (canvas.harvard.edu):
