At HMS IT, strategic initiatives are central to advancing our mission in education and research, as well as supporting efficient administration. This page describes current initiatives, and related projects, that are transforming our digital environment. These efforts, led by HMS IT in partnership with the community, are designed to enhance collaboration, improve infrastructure, and provide the tools our faculty, students, and staff need to succeed. 

Enhancing research

Meeting the needs of HMS researchers, including improvements to high performance computing services, application availability, storage services, regulated data environments, and lab instrumentation IT services. Supporting researchers’ use of AI by providing specialized environments with advanced access and integration options.

Digitizing teaching and learning, administration, and our workspace

Enhancing process automation and optimization across administrative and educational platforms to support students, faculty, researchers, and administrators. Modernizing AV technology and support for school-wide initiatives, including AV-enabled spaces for flex work and hybrid/hyflex instruction in classrooms.

Modernizing technology infrastructure for a secure foundational network, data storage, and computational environments. Enabling the continuous optimization of infrastructure, enhance agility, and reducing the time to science.
