Windows 7 End of Life

Do you have a Windows computer? Please read the important message below!

Microsoft is bringing the Windows 7 operating system to end-of-life in January 2020.  This means Microsoft will no longer fix security flaws discovered in Windows 7 after January 2020; continuing to use Windows 7 after that time will expose you (and everyone you work with) to significantly increased risks.

What should I do?

If any of the computers you use still have Windows 7**, contact your local IT support representative about upgrading to Windows 10 or for guidance on purchasing new computers if your computers can’t run Windows 10.

Who can help me?

Please contact the HMS IT Service Desk at 617-432-2000 or itservicedesk@hms.harvard.edu with any concerns or questions.
