To improve our communications infrastructure and security, HUIT will upgrade the Cisco Expressway systems on Friday, April 12, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM EDT (UTC-4). This upgrade is essential for maintaining the security and reliability of video conferencing using Cisco systems at HMS. 

You cannot start new video calls during the upgrade in rooms with Cisco touch screens. However, video calls that begin before the upgrade will continue as usual. 

If you do not plan to use an HMS Cisco room for video calls between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM on April 12, you do not need to take any action. If you must initiate video calls during the upgrade, you can: 

• Use a Tutorial Room in the Tosteson Medical Education Center (TMEC), which will not be affected. 
• Start the video call from a laptop or personal device. 
• Begin your video call before 7:00 PM on April 12 and maintain the connection during the upgrade.
