Starting on March 4 for staff and March 20 for other employee classes, newly hired Quad-based employees will be eligible for Microsoft 365, Zoom, and Adobe Creative Cloud if they have one of these classifications:
- Faculty – Senior (F), junior (J), and other (O*) faculty
- Students – Graduate (G, H) and temporary (D) students
- Postdoctoral researchers – Internal (Y*) and external (N*, Z*) researchers
- Staff – Administrative and professional (A), support (S), and temporary (T*) staff
- Additional support – Interns (E*), temporary staff (T), and teaching assistants (I*)
* Employees with these classifications — E, I, N, O, T, Y, and Z — will have full access to Zoom and Adobe Creative Cloud but are limited to 50 GB of email storage and can only use the online versions of Microsoft 365 apps. Employees with multiple classifications receive the most generous access applicable. Review the Reference Documentation for Employee Classifications for more information.
This update applies to newly hired employees. If you currently use these tools, you will retain access to them.
You may otherwise be eligible for Microsoft 365, Zoom, or Adobe Creative Cloud based on criteria specific to those tools. Review the pages dedicated to each for more information.
If you are not otherwise eligible for these tools and you need them for work at HMS, you can request an exception through the Harvard Sponsored Role (HSR) process.
