Expanded folder visibility on shared storage
Users can only access folders for which they have existing permissions
As part of ongoing improvements to our storage systems, you may see an expanded list of shared folders when connecting to:
standby.files.med.harvard.eduresearch.files.med.harvard.eduadmin.files.med.harvard.edu
The appearance of additional folders does not mean users have access to their contents. Access permissions have not changed — users can only access files and folders for which they already have explicit permission.
No action is required. This is expected behavior due to backend storage improvements.
