Connect to the HMS network

The HMS community can access the internet through these wireless networks:

  • Harvard Secure – The preferred wireless connection at Harvard.
  • eduroam – Secure connection for when you're at different institutions.
  • HMS Guest – For visitors.

Set up your device to connect to these networks. You don't need to be on campus for this setup.

These networks are available to anyone with an HMS account connected to an email account with harvard.edu in the email address (like those ending in @hms.harvard.edu or @wyss.harvard.edu).

Wired connections

Secure and consistent internet at HMS.
On-campus Network jacks

Connect via the HMS network using a data jack if you're in the Longwood, 401 Park, or Quad area. Restart your device post-connection to ensure seamless browsing.

Network Jacks

Fill out our request form to get a network jack installed or serviced. You will need your 33-digit Harvard Account Billing Code.

IP address requests

Acquire a consistent IP address
DHCP Static IP

For shared devices like printers or file servers that need a static network address, submit a manual IP address request. Remember to provide the MAC and IP address.
