Connect to the HMS network
The HMS community can access the internet through these wireless networks:
- Harvard Secure – The preferred wireless connection at Harvard.
- eduroam – Secure connection for when you're at different institutions.
- HMS Guest – For visitors.
Set up your device to connect to these networks. You don't need to be on campus for this setup.

Secure your connection with an HMS accountHMS account Email-basedThese networks are available to anyone with an HMS account connected to an email account with harvard.edu in the email address (like those ending in @hms.harvard.edu or @wyss.harvard.edu).

Wired connections
Secure and consistent internet at HMS.On-campus Network jacksConnect via the HMS network using a data jack if you're in the Longwood, 401 Park, or Quad area. Restart your device post-connection to ensure seamless browsing.
Network Jacks
Fill out our request form to get a network jack installed or serviced. You will need your 33-digit Harvard Account Billing Code.

IP address requests
Acquire a consistent IP addressDHCP Static IPFor shared devices like printers or file servers that need a static network address, submit a manual IP address request. Remember to provide the MAC and IP address.
