Eligibility
Only available to members of Harvard UniversityHarvardSnapGene is available to to members of Harvard University, including Faculty, Staff and Students who are working within a lab or department that will provide funding for software purchases using the Harvard University 33-digit billing system.
Note – Hospital affiliates are not eligible for this service.

Access and Support

- Platforms – Compatible with Linux, MacOS, and Windows systems.

- A Research Computing Core PPMS account is required
- A Harvard Departmental 33-digit billing code is required for this payment
- The license term runs from October 24 to October 23 of each year
- SnapGene licenses are issued to a single user for use on a single computer
- up to 4 licenses may be purchased for use on up to 4 computers per user
- Users must order their own licenses: Licenses cannot be ordered on the behalf of another individual
- Licenses cannot be transferred to an individual that is not the original license holder
- License transfers between computers are allowed, but user transfers are not
- If a user wishes to transfer their license to another of their computers, please email rchelp@hms.harvard to make that request
