- You must only have Lasergene running when it is in use, as network licenses are limited. Quit Lasergene when you are done using it. If you leave Lasergene running on your computer, it still consumes a license.

Access:
If your computer is enrolled in the Harvard Medical School’s Systems Management Software (SMS) platform, follow these steps to install EndNote. Only computers that are owned by Harvard can be enrolled in Harvard Medical School’s Systems Management Software (SMS) platform.
Check if SMS is installed on your computer
Install via SMS on macOS:
- Open the SMS Self Service for Macintosh application
- If prompted, sign in with your HMS account credentials
- In the app, select EndNote
- Select Install
Install via SMS on Windows:
- Open the Ivanti Management application
- In the app, select EndNote
- Select Launch
Personal or unmanaged computers:
If your computer is not using Harvard Medical School’s Systems Management Software.
- Go to: https://software.hms.harvard.edu
- Log in with your HarvardKey account
- Select EndNote from the Research Software menu
- Then click on the download link for your computer type and install the EndNote software

FlowJo
This software provides single-cell flow cytometry analysis that helps you interpret your data quickly and effectivelyOverview
Research Computing manages a central site license of FlowJo, a version of flow cytometry analysis software available to Harvard University users who have the ability to make purchases with Harvard University Funds using 33-digit billing numbers.
This means that all license costs of using FlowJo are charged back to participating departments annually, based on individual usage.

- Available to anyone working at Harvard University (faculty, staff, postdoctoral researchers, and students) who have the ability to make purchases with Harvard Funds using 33-digit billing numbers
- HMS-affiliated hospitals do not qualify for this license

- License Transfer: Licenses are issued to individuals which allows them to use FlowJo on up to four computers. FlowJo license holders can manage their licenses and devices using these instructions

Geneious
Comprehensive suite of molecular biology and sequence analysis toolsOverview:
An intuitive and powerful sequence analysis and bioinformatics software
Eligibility:
- Geneious license server is accessible from the HMS network. To get a license, you must be directly on the HMS network or connected to it via the HMS VPN.
- Only HMS members who are based on-quad are eligible to use this license. HMS affiliates (e.g. at hospitals) are not eligible.
- You must only have Geneious running when it is actually in use, as network licenses are limited.

- HMS-affiliated hospitals do not qualify for this license.

- Registration: must have a valid Harvard email address
- Renewal: Licenses are no longer renewed automatically each October 28th. You must order via PPMS.
- Support: Software support is available from the vendor by web at https://secure.graphpad.com/support/
- License Transfer: Licenses may be transferred between a license holders various computers, but may not be transferred to a different user. If a current license holder needs to transfer the license to a different computer, they should email graphpad@hms.harvard.edu with the Computer Names for both the old and new computers.

Enables HMS researchers the ability to plan, visualize, and document their molecular biology procedures. The streamlined interface supports a range of cloning and PCR manipulations.Overview
SnapGene is molecular biology software that allows users to plan, visualize, and document molecular biology procedures. Select the DNA fragments that you wish to fuse, and SnapGene will design the primers.
The Research Computing department manages a pool of licenses for SnapGene is available for both Windows and Mac computers.

- Students who work in HMS-based research labs are also eligible
