Guest accounts are provided to temporary employees, consultants, or research collaborators who need access to the Harvard Medical School network resources. These accounts must be sponsored by full-time staff or on quad faculty of the Medical School.

To sponsor a guest, fill out a Guest User Request Form. A Guest Key will be provided to the sponsor. It is the sponsor’s responsibility to provide the account information to his or her Guest user.

Note – Guest accounts will NOT have access to the Digital Library due to the licensing agreements with the electronic journals.

To Register a guest account:
  1. Go to https://ecommons.med.harvard.edu
  2. Select on Obtaining an Account or New User Registration
  3. Select on Register Now
  4. Complete step 1 (last name) and step 2 using the guest key (no other information is necessary) and then select Submit
