HarvardKey sign-in update

Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) updated the HarvardKey sign-in process for some HMS affiliates on April 4. This change simplifies access to IT services by using a single email address for HarvardKey and HMS ID-protected services.

Required actions

If you did not receive an email message from HUIT about this change, you don't need to do anything.

If you did receive an email from HUIT,  sign in to your HarvardKey account using the NAME@hms.harvard.edu email address mentioned in the email message. Also, update the entry for HarvardKey in your password manager so that it uses the HMS email address that is now associated with HarvardKey​​.

Your password and the process for 2FA using the Duo Mobile app have not changed.
