To make the campus network faster, more reliable, and more secure, HMS IT is replacing the network hardware in the Veritas Science Center this fall. The work happens on four Sunday mornings between Sunday, September 20, 2026, and Sunday, November 1, 2026. Each window covers one part of the building.

The November 1 window falls after daylight saving time ends, so it runs on Eastern Standard Time.
If you work in the Veritas Science Center, you may lose wired and wireless network access while HMS IT replaces the equipment in your area. The interruption can affect calls, remote sessions, and access to cloud or off-site resources.
Save anything that depends on the network before the window for your area. Where you can, plan work that needs a network connection around these windows. Network access returns on its own once the work in your area is complete.
HMS IT postponed this work in August. The team has since resolved and tested the issues behind the delay. When the four windows are complete, the whole building runs on the new hardware.
