HMS IT now provides an approved AI tool of your choice, along with the Harvard AI Sandbox, for email-eligible, Quad-based employees, as well as HMS and HSDM degree students. These give you a secure, supported way to use AI in your work.
Completing a training activates your Harvard AI Sandbox account and opens a request form where you choose your tool: Claude, ChatGPT Edu, or Microsoft Copilot Premium. Each has different strengths depending on your work, and the training will help you pick the one that fits.
Keep Harvard work in approved tools
These tools run in a secure environment, and vendor agreements exclude our data from AI model training. Personal accounts do not offer that protection. You can use your tool with Level 3 data and below.
