Student computing facilities at include dedicated workstations, loaner laptops, printers, mobile charging stations, and specialized support for predoctoral students. There are shared computer labs, a Computer Resource Center, and additional amenities for individual study and group collaboration.

    Currently registered and matriculated students can access
    Registered Matriculated

    Only currently registered, matriculated Harvard Medical School (HMS), Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM), and Division of Medical Sciences (DMS) predoctoral students may access these facilities. These resources are designed specifically for the use of students. This ensures that students have all the essential computing facilities needed for their studies.

    Wi-Fi Ethernet

    All connections, including Wi-Fi and wired ethernet, adhere to the University's security protocols. Students and guests must follow proper registration and connection procedures, and all devices connected to the network must comply with the security guidelines.

    Computers Printers

    Tosteson Medical Education Center (TMEC)

    Various areas within the TMEC provide many resources, including computers, printers, scanners, and more. The details are as follows:

    • Computer Resource Center – Room 225 hosts 12 computers and one color printer and scanner.
    • Room 231c – This room contains one color printer and scanner but does not have computers.
    • Tutorial Rooms – With approximately 17 rooms total, each has one computer and one large display.
    • Conference Rooms, Classrooms, Learning Studios – Approximately 60 rooms, each with one computer and one to four large displays.
    • HST Society, Room 213 – Five computers, one black and white printer, and a bring-your-own laptop workspace.
    • HST Skills Area, Rooms 201–208 – These rooms contain four computers.

    Vanderbilt Hall

    Vanderbilt Hall and other spots also offer unique IT resources for student utilization. The details are as follows:

    • Room 302B – Contains two computers and one black and white printer.
    • Printing – Shared use of one black and white HP LaserJet printer (vandy302b-lj600.med.harvard.edu) is available in Room 302B, and printing is free.
    • Internet Access
      • Wi-Fi – HMS students and guests can access Vanderbilt Hall's wireless network. Residents must register all devices for the HMS network before use. For assistance, visit the connecting to Wi-Fi website.
      • Wired Ethernet – All Vanderbilt Hall dorm rooms have two active network connections. One port may already be utilized for wireless access; do not disconnect this device. If wired internet is required, use the other available network port.

    These locations and resources ensure that students can access necessary technological tools for their educational pursuits.
