FlowJo
A version of flow cytometry analysis softwareOverview
Research Computing manages a central site license of FlowJo, a version of flow cytometry analysis software, available to Harvard users, who have the ability to make purchases with Harvard Funds using 33-digit billing numbers. This centralized pooling of licenses reduces overall costs, but unlike other products (Lasergene, MATLAB), HMS IT does not pay for any actual licenses.
This means that all license costs of using FlowJo are charged back to participating departments annually, based on individual usage.
Eligibility
- Available to anyone working at Harvard University (Faculty, Staff, Postdocs, and Students), who have the ability to make purchases with Harvard Funds using 33-digit billing numbers
- HMS affiliated hospitals do not qualify for this license.

An intuitive and powerful sequence analysis and bioinformatics software
Eligibility:
- Geneious license server is accessible from the HMS network. To get a license, you must be directly on the HMS network or connected to it via the HMS VPN.
- Only HMS members who are based on-quad are eligible to use this license. HMS affiliates (e.g. at hospitals) are not eligible.

Research Computing manages a pool of licenses for GraphPad Prism. Prism is available for both Windows and Mac computers and combines scientific graphing, comprehensive curve fitting (nonlinear regression), understandable statistics, and data organization.
Eligibility:
- Available to anyone working at Harvard University (Faculty, Staff, Postdocs, and Students)
- HMS affiliated hospitals do not qualify for this license.

SnapGene
Enables HMS researchers the ability to plan, visualize, and document their molecular biology procedures. The streamlined interface supports a range of cloning and PCR manipulations.Overview
SnapGene is molecular biology software that allows users to plan, visualize, and document molecular biology procedures. Select the DNA fragments that you wish to fuse, and SnapGene will design the primers.
The Research Computing department manages a pool of licenses for SnapGene is available for both Windows and Mac computers.
