A computer's operating system (OS) is supported if it can be updated by systems management software and complies with HMS-required information security software. A supported operating system must be up-to-date with all software updates such as service packs and updates to address security vulnerabilities.

* Windows Server 2008 R2 is only supported if there is a specific contract from Microsoft for extended support. Each Windows 2008 R2 system with extended support must be registered with Microsoft separately to qualify for support.
