Antivirus protection update: CrowdStrike replaces ESET

To improve information security, Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) has enabled CrowdStrike on computers with systems management software (SMS). CrowdStrike will replace ESET for antivirus protection.

To ensure that you receive this update, check if SMS is installed on your HMS computer and install it if necessary. HMS policy requires that you install SMS on all computers owned by HMS or purchased with grant funding.

Do not uninstall ESET antivirus yourself. HMS IT will remove it through SMS. If you are using an HMS-licensed version of ESET Antivirus on a personal computer without SMS, it will also be uninstalled automatically. On personal computers, install antivirus software recommended by Harvard
